Possible Causes
Freezer not level on the floor, Loose leveling feet, Cabinet touching adjacent furniture, Loose compressor mounts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Take care when tilting or moving the freezer. Do not lay it fully on its side without following manufacturer guidance.
Steps:
- 1. Level the appliance: Use a spirit level on the top of the freezer. Adjust the front leveling feet until the unit is stable and slightly tilted back so the door closes by itself.
- 2. Clearances: Ensure the sides and back are not tightly pressed against cabinets or walls. Leave recommended clearance for airflow and vibration isolation.
- 3. Check compressor mounts: Inspect the rubber grommets under the compressor and replace if worn.
- 4. Stabilize flooring: If the floor is uneven or flexible, place a solid board under the freezer to distribute weight.
