• 1. Listen for compressor: After plugging in, listen at the back. If the compressor is silent and you do not hear it attempt to start, suspect the start device or control.
• 2. Check compressor temperature: Carefully touch the compressor shell. If it is stone cold after being powered for some time, it may not be receiving power.
• 3. Inspect start relay/PTC: Remove the rear lower panel, locate the compressor, and inspect the start device for burn marks or rattling. Replace with a Neff-compatible part if suspect.
• 4. Control output: If the start device is good but the compressor never receives voltage, the main control module may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
• 5. Sealed system issues: If the compressor runs but there is no cooling and the condenser stays cool, a refrigerant leak or internal blockage is likely. This requires professional sealed system service.
