Possible Causes
Damaged or deformed door gasket, Door not closing fully due to misalignment or obstruction, Hinges sagging, Frequent door opening
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal electrical work is required, but avoid using sharp tools on seals.
Steps:
- 1. Inspect gasket: Check the entire perimeter of the door seal for tears, gaps, or hardened sections.
- 2. Check door closure: Ensure no food packages or drawers prevent full closure. Adjust shelf loading if needed.
- 3. Warm and reshape gasket: Use a hair dryer on low heat to gently warm and reshape minor gasket distortions, then close the door to set the shape.
- 4. Replace gasket: If the seal is damaged, remove the old gasket (usually press-fit into a channel) and install a new Neff door gasket, pressing it fully into place.
- 5. Hinge adjustment: If the door sags, adjust or tighten the hinges according to the service instructions.
