Freezer is unusually noisy with a whirring or scraping sound from inside the cabinet.

Steps to fix internal whirring/scraping:

• 1. Access fan area: Remove baskets and the rear inner panel to expose the evaporator fan.
• 2. Check for ice: Look for ice or frost around the fan blades. Defrost the area fully and ensure blades spin freely.
• 3. Remove obstructions: Clear any packaging, insulation, or debris that may have fallen into the fan shroud.
• 4. Test fan motor: Spin the blades by hand (with power off). If they feel rough or do not coast smoothly, replace the evaporator fan motor.
• 5. Secure shroud: Tighten any loose screws or clips holding the fan housing.

Tip: Recurrent ice around the fan may indicate a defrost issue; check the defrost system if the problem returns.
