H32 error, alarm sounds frequently even when door is closed

Safety: Unplug the freezer before adjusting hinges or removing trims.

Steps:

• 1. Check door seal: Close the door on a sheet of paper at several points. If the paper pulls out easily, the gasket is not sealing and the door may not fully close.
• 2. Inspect gasket: Look for tears, hardened sections, or deformation. Warm the gasket gently with a hair dryer and reshape it to improve sealing.
• 3. Hinge adjustment: Tighten loose hinge screws and adjust the door so it closes squarely against the cabinet.
• 4. Door switch test: As in H31, verify the door switch operates reliably with a magnet and that the interior light turns off when the door is closed.
• 5. Replace components if needed: Install a new Panasonic door gasket, magnet, or switch if any are defective.
