Possible Causes
Blocked condenser airflow, failed condenser fan, ambient temperature too high, main PCB temperature sensor fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before cleaning or accessing the rear compartment.
Steps:
- 1. Improve ventilation: Ensure at least the manufacturer-recommended clearance around the freezer. Do not install it in a confined, unventilated space.
- 2. Clean condenser: Remove dust and lint from the condenser coil and surrounding area with a vacuum and soft brush.
- 3. Check condenser fan: Verify that the condenser fan runs when the compressor is on. If not, follow the H27 procedure to diagnose the fan.
- 4. Ambient conditions: Confirm the room temperature is within Panasonic's specified operating range. Extremely hot rooms can trigger overheat protection.
- 5. Reset: After cooling and cleaning, reconnect power. If H61 persists, the main PCB or its onboard temperature sensor may be faulty.
