Freezer door difficult to open immediately after closing

Possible Causes

Rapid cooling of warm air inside, strong door gasket seal, blocked pressure equalization vent

Safety: No electrical work is required for this symptom.

Steps:

1. Wait a moment: It is normal for the door to be harder to open for a short time after closing. Wait 30–60 seconds and try again.
2. Check vent: Ensure any cabinet pressure equalization vent is not blocked by packaging or ice.
3. Gasket lubrication: Lightly wipe the gasket with a thin film of food-safe silicone to reduce sticking.
