How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: Disconnect power before accessing control panels.
- Power cycle: Unplug the unit for 5 minutes and restore power. If PC-Er returns, continue.
- Inspect top hinge area: On many Samsung freezers, the communication harness runs through the top hinge. Remove the hinge cover and check for pinched or broken wires.
- Check display connections: Remove the front display/control panel and verify the ribbon cable is fully inserted and not damaged.
- Check PCB connections: At the main PCB, ensure the communication harness is firmly connected.
- Replace faulty board: If wiring is intact, either the display PCB or main PCB may be defective. Replacement should be done with the correct Samsung part numbers and, ideally, by a professional.
