Possible Causes

Water supply turned off or low pressure, Clogged water filter, Frozen ice fill tube, Faulty Samsung water inlet valve, Ice maker module failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Shut off the water supply and unplug the unit before working on water components.

  • Check water supply: Ensure the saddle valve or shutoff valve is fully open and the household water pressure is adequate (typically 20–120 psi).
  • Replace water filter: If equipped, replace the Samsung water filter if it is older than 6 months or suspected to be clogged.
  • Inspect fill tube: Remove the ice bucket and check the fill tube for ice blockage. Thaw gently with a hair dryer if frozen.
  • Test water inlet valve: Listen for the valve when the ice maker calls for water. If silent, test the valve coil resistance and replace the Samsung water inlet valve if open or not actuating.
  • Reset ice maker: Press the test button on the ice maker. If it does not cycle, replace the ice maker assembly.
