Display shows AL and an audible alarm sounds; temperature may be high or door may be open.

Steps:

• Check door: Ensure the door is fully closed and the gasket is sealing all around. Remove any items blocking closure.
• Silence alarm: Use the alarm mute button if available, but do not ignore persistent alarms.
• Verify temperature: Place a freezer thermometer inside and check after several hours. If temperature is above -15°C, investigate cooling performance.
• Door switch and sensor: If the alarm sounds even with proper temperature and closed door, test the door switch and temperature sensor as described in E1 and E9.

Safety: Unplug the unit before testing or replacing electrical components.
