Possible Causes

Mismatch between evaporator and cabinet sensor readings, Incorrect sensor placement after previous repair, Loose sensor connectors, Control board logic fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the freezer before accessing sensors or the control board.

  • 1. Inspect sensor placement: Ensure the evaporator NTC is firmly attached to the coil and the cabinet/freezer NTC is in its correct location, not dangling or buried in insulation.
  • 2. Check connectors: Reseat all sensor connectors on the main PCB. Ensure each sensor is plugged into the correct socket as per wiring diagram.
  • 3. Look for swapped sensors: If sensors were replaced previously, verify that the correct type is installed in each position and that cables are not cross-connected.
  • 4. Manual defrost: Fully defrost the evaporator to restore normal airflow, then restart the freezer and monitor for recurrence of E24.
  • 5. Replace suspect sensor: If one sensor shows inconsistent readings compared to others at similar temperatures, replace it with a Siemens-compatible part.

Note: Persistent E24 with correct sensors and wiring may indicate a control board logic issue requiring professional diagnosis and board replacement.
