Possible Causes
Faulty compressor relay on PCB, Incorrect temperature sensor readings preventing start, Demo/showroom mode enabled, Broken wiring to compressor or fan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before accessing electrical components.
- 1. Check mode settings: Consult the Siemens manual to ensure the freezer is not in demo or showroom mode. Disable if active.
- 2. Adjust setpoint: Set the temperature to the coldest setting and wait 10–15 minutes to see if the compressor starts.
- 3. Listen for relays: With the control panel exposed, listen for relay clicks when cooling should start. No clicks may indicate a failed relay or control logic.
- 4. Inspect wiring: Check the harness from the PCB to the compressor and fan for disconnections or damage.
- 5. Replace main PCB: If wiring and sensors are good but outputs never activate, replace the main control board with a Siemens-compatible unit.
Note: Sensor faults can also prevent cooling; check for error codes and sensor integrity.
