Possible Causes
Warm moist air entering due to door seal leak, Defrost water not draining properly, Overloading causing poor airflow, Temperature set too low causing heavy frost
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before performing a full defrost.
- 1. Manual defrost: Remove drawers and allow all ice to melt. Clean and dry runners and rails.
- 2. Check door gasket and closure: Repair or replace gasket and ensure proper door alignment to reduce moisture ingress.
- 3. Avoid overloading: Do not pack drawers so tightly that air cannot circulate; leave some space around items.
- 4. Adjust temperature: If set extremely low, raise the setpoint slightly to reduce frost formation while maintaining safe storage.
Note: Regularly cleaning and lightly lubricating plastic runners with food-safe silicone can improve drawer movement.
