Possible Causes

Door left open or not sealing, Recent large warm food load, Failed evaporator fan, Partial loss of refrigerant or weak compressor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the door is closed properly to prevent condensation and slipping hazards from melting ice.

  • 1. Check door closure: Verify that no baskets or food packages are preventing the door from closing fully. Inspect the door gasket for gaps or twists.
  • 2. Silence alarm: Use the alarm reset or mute button on the control panel to silence the beeper while troubleshooting.
  • 3. Inspect for warm load: If you recently added a large quantity of unfrozen food, allow 12–24 hours for the temperature to stabilize. Keep the door closed as much as possible.
  • 4. Check internal airflow: Ensure vents inside the freezer are not blocked by food items. Confirm that the evaporator fan runs when the door is closed (you may need to press the door switch to simulate closure).
  • 5. Look for frost buildup: Heavy frost on the rear panel may indicate a defrost problem. If present, see defrost-related faults for further steps.
  • 6. Monitor temperature: Place a separate freezer thermometer inside and check after several hours. If the temperature remains above -15°C despite continuous running, there may be a sealed system or compressor issue requiring a technician.
