• 1. Allow cycle to complete: dF may simply indicate an active defrost cycle. Wait 20–40 minutes to see if the code clears and normal cooling resumes.
• 2. Check door usage: Reduce door openings, especially in humid conditions, to limit frost buildup.
• 3. Inspect for heavy frost: If the rear panel inside the freezer is heavily frosted, perform a full manual defrost by unplugging the unit and leaving doors open until all ice melts.
• 4. Clean air passages: Ensure that internal vents and ducts are free of ice and food obstructions.
• 5. Monitor behavior: If dF appears frequently and cooling performance is poor, test the defrost heater and sensors as described in defrost-related fault entries.
