Freezer makes loud humming or buzzing noise from the back, especially when compressor runs.

Possible Causes
Compressor mounting grommets worn or missing, Condenser tubing touching cabinet, Loose rear panel or base plate, Condenser fan blades hitting shroud
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before adjusting components at the rear. Beware of hot compressor surfaces.
- 1. Level the appliance: Ensure the freezer is level front-to-back and side-to-side using the adjustable feet. An unlevel cabinet can increase vibration.
- 2. Check compressor mounts: Inspect the rubber grommets under the compressor. Replace any that are cracked or missing to reduce vibration transfer.
- 3. Secure tubing: Gently move condenser tubes away from the cabinet or each other if they are touching and rattling. Use approved clips or foam spacers.
- 4. Inspect condenser fan: Spin the fan by hand and ensure blades do not contact the shroud. Adjust or replace the fan if damaged.
- 5. Tighten panels: Tighten screws on the rear cover and base plate to eliminate rattles.
