Freezer door is hard to open immediately after closing; a vacuum seems to hold it shut.

Possible Causes
Normal pressure equalization after door closure, Door gasket sealing very tightly, Check valve or vent not present or obstructed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Information: Difficulty opening the door for a short time after closing is often normal as warm air cools and contracts inside the freezer.
What you can do:
- Wait a moment: Allow 30–60 seconds after closing before reopening to let pressure equalize.
- Check gasket: Ensure the gasket is clean and not sticking excessively. Wipe with warm soapy water and dry.
- Level the unit: Make sure the freezer is level so the door seals evenly without excessive force.
Note: If the door remains extremely difficult to open for several minutes or the gasket deforms, inspect for gasket misalignment or cabinet warping and correct as needed.
