Possible Causes
Unit not level, Loose condenser fan or shroud, Panels or shelves vibrating against each other
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before tightening components or accessing fans.
Steps to reduce rattling/vibration:
- Level the freezer: Use a bubble level on the top surface. Adjust the front leveling legs until the unit is stable and does not rock.
- Check interior items: Ensure wire shelves, baskets, and stored items are not touching the evaporator cover or each other in a way that can vibrate. Reposition as needed.
- Inspect condenser fan (if equipped): Remove the rear panel and check that the condenser fan blade is secure on the motor shaft and not hitting the shroud. Tighten or reposition as needed.
- Tighten loose panels: Check screws on the rear panel, toe kick, and interior liners. Tighten any that are loose.
- Add vibration pads: Place anti-vibration pads under the leveling legs if the floor is uneven or resonates.
