Possible Causes

Loose or damaged communication cable between UI and main PCB, Oxidized connectors on display board, Faulty display (UI) PCB, Main control board communication driver failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the freezer before removing the control panel or accessing the electronics.

  • Access the control panel: Remove screws or clips holding the front/top display panel. Carefully pull it forward.
  • Inspect ribbon cable or harness: Check for kinks, cuts, or signs of moisture. Reseat both ends of the cable (UI board and main PCB) to ensure good contact.
  • Clean connectors: Use contact cleaner on oxidized pins and allow to dry fully before reconnecting.
  • Check for board damage: Look for burnt components, corrosion, or cracked solder joints on the UI board.
  • Test with replacement UI if available: If wiring is intact, swap in a known-good Teka display board to confirm diagnosis.
  • Replace faulty board: Install a new UI/display PCB or main PCB as indicated by testing. Transfer any plastic supports or seals from the old board.

Test: Reassemble the panel, restore power, and verify that the display responds correctly and that E6 is cleared.
