Display shows AL and an audible alarm sounds continuously.

Safety: No internal work is required for basic checks; unplug before panel removal.

Steps:

• 1. Confirm door closure: Ensure the door is fully closed and the gasket is sealing all around. Adjust food items that may be preventing closure.
• 2. Check temperature: Use a freezer thermometer to verify actual temperature. If it is above -15°C, allow time for recovery after heavy loading or power loss.
• 3. Test door switch: Verify that the interior light turns off when the door is closed. If not, inspect and replace the door switch (see F2).
• 4. Silence alarm: Press the alarm or set button as described in the user manual to mute the alarm while troubleshooting.
• 5. Sensor and PCB: If the temperature is normal but AL persists, test the temperature sensors and inspect the main PCB for faults as per E1–E3.
