Safety: Unplug the freezer before touching any moving parts.

Steps:

Locate noise source: Listen near the back of the unit to determine if the noise is from the compressor or fan.
Check fan area: Remove the rear lower panel and inspect the condenser fan for debris or bent blades rubbing on shrouds. Clean and straighten as needed.
Tighten panels: Tighten any loose screws on the rear panel or compressor mounting bracket that may cause vibration.
Fan motor check: If the fan motor is noisy even when clean and unobstructed, replace the condenser fan motor.
Compressor noise: A loud internal compressor buzz may indicate wear. If noise is excessive and cooling is affected, consult a technician for compressor evaluation.
