Exterior sides or top of the freezer feel very hot to the touch

Possible Causes
Condenser coils embedded in cabinet working hard, Poor ventilation around unit, Dirty condenser (if external), High ambient room temperature
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Surfaces may be hot but should not burn; unplug the unit if you smell burning or see smoke.
Steps:
- Check ventilation: Ensure there is adequate clearance around all sides and above the freezer as specified by Whynter.
- Clean condenser: If your model has exposed coils, clean them thoroughly with a brush and vacuum.
- Ambient temperature: Verify the room is within the recommended operating range. Move the unit if necessary.
- Monitor: Some warmth is normal, especially along door perimeters where anti-sweat lines run. Excessive heat combined with poor cooling indicates a problem requiring service.
Note: Do not block ventilation grilles or stack items on top of the freezer.
