Steps:
- Access rear compartment: Remove the rear lower panel to expose the compressor and mounting hardware.
- Check mounting grommets: Ensure the rubber feet under the compressor are intact and the mounting bolts are snug but not overtightened. Replace cracked grommets.
- Inspect start relay: A chattering or buzzing relay may be failing. Replace the compressor start relay/PTC with an OEM part.
- Secure tubing: Look for refrigerant lines touching each other or the cabinet. Gently bend or pad them so they do not vibrate against metal surfaces.
