Freezer will not turn on at all; no lights, no display, no sound

Safety: Do not attempt live electrical work if you are not trained. Unplug the freezer before opening any panels.

Steps:

• Check home power: Verify the circuit breaker is not tripped and the outlet has power using another device.
• Inspect power cord: Look for visible damage. Replace if any defects are found.
• Internal fuse: Some Whynter models have an internal fuse on the main control board. Access the control compartment and inspect/replace the fuse with the same rating if blown.
• Main board: If the fuse is good and power is present at the board input but the unit is dead, the main control board is likely faulty and must be replaced.
