Safety: Unplug the freezer before cleaning or accessing rear components. Sealed-system work must be done by a certified refrigeration technician.

• Check door and loading: Ensure the door is closing fully, gaskets are intact, and the freezer is not overloaded or blocked with warm food.
• Clean condenser: Pull the unit away from the wall. Vacuum and brush the condenser coils at the rear or underneath to remove dust and lint. Good airflow is essential.
• Check condenser fan (if present): On some Zanussi models, a fan cools the condenser. Verify it spins freely and runs when the compressor is on. Replace the condenser fan motor if seized or not powered.
• Inspect for oil stains: Look for oily residue on copper tubing or around joints, which can indicate a refrigerant leak.
• Monitor temperatures: After cleaning, allow 12–24 hours for temperatures to stabilize. If the freezer still cannot reach -18°C and E10 persists, the system may be low on refrigerant or the compressor may be weak.
• Call a technician: Sealed-system diagnosis (pressure testing, recharging, compressor replacement) requires specialized tools and must be performed by a qualified technician.
