Safety: Unplug the appliance before testing or replacing switches.

• Locate the door switch: On many Zanussi freezers, the door switch is a small plunger or magnetic sensor in the cabinet frame near the top or side.
• Check operation: Press the plunger or place a magnet near the sensor (for magnetic types) and listen for the interior light turning on/off when power is connected (if safe). If the light does not respond, suspect the switch.
• Test continuity: Remove the switch and test with a multimeter. It should change from open to closed when actuated.
