Safety: Unplug the freezer before removing the door switch.

• Remove switch: Gently pry out or unscrew the door switch from the cabinet frame.
• Inspect for moisture or corrosion: If the switch is wet or corroded, dry the area and clean contacts if possible.
• Test with multimeter: Check continuity while pressing and releasing the switch. It should change state reliably.
• Check wiring: Ensure the wires are not shorted together or broken behind the liner.
• Replace switch: If faulty, fit a new Zanussi door switch and refit securely.
• Control PCB: If the switch and wiring are good, the main control PCB may misread the door state and need replacement.
