Possible Causes
Stuck electronic thermostat relay, Faulty NTC sensor reading too warm, Shorted thermostat wiring, Main control PCB logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect mains power before accessing the control panel or sensors.
- Verify setpoint: Confirm the temperature is not set excessively low. Adjust to -18°C and monitor with a separate thermometer.
- Test sensor: Measure the freezer NTC resistance at a known temperature and compare to spec. Replace the freezer temperature sensor if readings are incorrect.
- Inspect control board: Look for a relay stuck closed or signs of overheating on the main control PCB.
- Replace control: If the sensor is good but the compressor never cycles off, replace the main control PCB / electronic thermostat.
