• Check condenser cleanliness: Clean dust and lint from the condenser coils at the rear or base using a brush and vacuum.
• Ensure ventilation: Confirm there is adequate clearance around the freezer and that warm air can escape from the rear or top vents.
• Inspect door gasket: Make sure the door seal is intact and not allowing warm air ingress.
• Observe frost pattern: Remove the internal rear panel (if accessible) and look at the evaporator. A healthy system shows even frost across most of the coil. Frost only on a small section often indicates low refrigerant or a restriction.
• Call a technician: If frost pattern is abnormal or cooling remains poor after cleaning and gasket checks, a certified technician must check for leaks, evacuate, and recharge the system or replace the compressor.
