How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and gas before cleaning or tightening components.
Error 13 is a hard lockout after multiple failed ignition cycles.
- Reset lockout:
- Turn off power for at least 30 seconds, then restore.
- Clean flame sensor and check ground:
- Follow the same cleaning steps as for other flame sensor faults.
- Tighten ground screws on burner rack and control board.
- Check combustion air:
- For sealed combustion models, inspect intake PVC for blockages.
- Ensure the furnace room has adequate ventilation if using indoor air.
- If lockouts continue, have a technician test the gas valve and combustion setup.
