How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Danger: Gas work is hazardous. If you smell gas, evacuate and call the gas company or fire department.
- Verify gas shutoff:
- Ensure the handle on the gas cock is parallel to the pipe (open).
- Check other gas appliances:
- If they also do not work, contact your gas supplier.
- Listen for gas valve click:
- During ignition, you should hear a click from the valve. If not, the valve or control may be faulty.
- Gas valve testing and replacement should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician.
