Safety: Disconnect power before accessing electronic components.

Check display connections: Remove the front control panel cover and inspect the ribbon cable or harness between the display and main board. Reseat both ends.
Inspect for moisture or corrosion: Look for signs of water ingress on the control boards. If present, the source of the leak must be fixed and the affected boards replaced.
Power cycle: Restore power and see if the error clears. If 701 returns, one of the boards may be defective.
