Weak flame signal due to dirty burner, Poor earth/ground connection, Faulty ionisation electrode, Electrical interference on ionisation circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and gas before opening the combustion chamber.
- Clean the burner thoroughly to ensure a stable, even flame pattern.
- Clean the ionisation electrode and check its position in the flame.
- Verify that the appliance is properly earthed; tighten earth connections on the PCB and chassis.
- Route ionisation and ignition cables away from high-voltage or mains cables to reduce interference.
- If the EC error continues, the control board's flame detection circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
