Possible Causes
Line and neutral reversed at power connection, Missing or loose equipment ground, Shared neutral causing interference with flame sensing, Incorrect field wiring to Atlantic terminal block
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: This involves mains voltage. If you are not experienced with electrical work, contact a licensed electrician.
Steps:
- Verify supply wiring: With power off, remove the electrical access cover and check that line (L), neutral (N), and ground (PE) are connected to the correct terminals as per the Atlantic wiring diagram.
- Check receptacle (if cord-connected): Use a plug-in outlet tester to verify correct polarity and grounding at the receptacle.
- Inspect ground connections: Ensure the green/yellow ground wire is securely fastened to the furnace chassis and that there is continuity between the chassis and the electrical panel ground.
- Correct any miswiring: Swap line and neutral if reversed, and tighten all connections. Restore power and check if E11 clears.
Note: Improper polarity can interfere with flame sensing and safety circuits.
