Possible Causes

Blocked condensate trap, Blocked condensate hose, Frozen condensate pipe, Faulty condensate level sensor (if fitted)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power. Condensate is mildly acidic; wear gloves and eye protection.

  • Inspect condensate trap: Locate the plastic condensate trap at the base of the heat exchanger. Remove it according to the Beretta manual. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove sludge.
  • Check hoses and outlet: Ensure the condensate hose from the trap to the drain is not kinked, blocked, or frozen. Clear any blockage and insulate external sections in cold climates.
  • Reassemble and test: Refit the trap, ensuring seals are correctly seated. Restore power and run the furnace, checking for proper condensate flow.

If A18 persists, a condensate level sensor or related wiring may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
