Safety: Turn off power before opening the front panel.

Inspect control panel: Remove the front cover to access the display/keyboard board. Check for signs of moisture, corrosion, or damage.
Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat cable between the user interface and the main control board is fully seated at both ends.
Dry and clean: If moisture is present, gently dry the area and allow the furnace to sit powered off for several hours before retesting.

If E06 persists, either the display board or main board may need replacement.
