Possible Causes
Weak ignition spark, Incorrect flame sensing, Gas valve not opening fully, Air in gas line after service
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: If you hear repeated clicking with no ignition and smell gas, shut off gas and ventilate.
- Observe sequence: Through the sight glass, check if a spark is present and if flame appears briefly. If there is no flame, the gas valve or gas supply may be at fault.
- Clean ignition and flame sensor: As described for A01/A06, clean and inspect the ignition electrode and ionization probe.
Persistent rapid cycling without stable ignition requires a technician to test gas pressure and valve operation.
