Furnace causes noticeable vibration or rattling noises through the ductwork or piping

Safety: Turn off power before tightening any components.

• Panel screws: Tighten all access panel screws and any loose sheet metal around the furnace.
• Fan mounting: Check that the combustion fan and blower assemblies are firmly secured to their brackets.
• Piping supports: Add or adjust pipe hangers with rubber isolation to reduce vibration transmission.

If vibration persists, the fan wheel may be damaged and should be replaced.
