Possible Causes
Defective NTC flow sensor, Loose sensor clip on flow pipe, Broken sensor cable, Faulty control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power and allow the flow pipe to cool before touching.
- 1. Locate flow sensor: On Brötje boilers, the flow NTC is usually clipped to the flow pipe leaving the heat exchanger.
- 2. Check mounting: Ensure the sensor is firmly attached and has good thermal contact with the pipe. Refit or replace the clip if loose.
- 3. Inspect cable: Follow the cable back to the PCB, checking for damage or disconnection.
- 4. Test sensor: Measure resistance at ambient temperature and compare with Brötje NTC tables. Replace the flow temperature sensor if readings are incorrect.
- 5. Control board: If a known-good sensor still gives A09, the control board analogue input may be defective and require replacement.
