Possible Causes
Seized pump rotor, Burnt pump motor, Blocked pump impeller, Faulty pump control output on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and allow the system to cool. Close isolation valves if present before removing the pump.
- 1. Check pump operation: On a heat demand, touch the Brötje pump. If it is silent and cold, it may not be powered or is failed.
- 2. Free the rotor: If the pump has a vent/bleed screw, remove it and gently turn the shaft with a screwdriver to free it. Replace the screw and test.
- 3. Electrical test: A technician should verify supply voltage at the pump terminals. If voltage is present but the pump does not run, replace the pump.
- 4. PCB output: If no voltage is present and wiring is intact, the control board pump relay may be defective.
