Possible Causes

Tripped furnace breaker, switched-off service disconnect, open blower door switch, failed transformer

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: If you are not comfortable working with electrical panels, contact a professional. Always turn off the main breaker before removing panel covers.

  • Check thermostat: Ensure the thermostat display is on and set to HEAT. Replace batteries if applicable.
  • Verify breaker and switch: Locate the furnace breaker in the electrical panel and reset it once if tripped. Confirm the furnace service switch (often looks like a light switch near the unit) is ON.
  • Check blower door: Make sure the blower compartment door is fully closed and engaging the door safety switch.
  • Inspect transformer: With power on and using a multimeter (if qualified), check for 120V at the primary side of the Bryant transformer and ~24V at the secondary. If primary has power but secondary is dead, the transformer is likely failed.

If there is confirmed power to the furnace but no LED activity and the transformer is good, the control board may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
