• Locate condensate system: On high-efficiency Comfortmaker furnaces, find the plastic trap and drain hoses near the inducer or side of the furnace.
• Clear trap: Remove the trap and flush it with warm water to remove slime and debris.
• Check hoses: Ensure all hoses are firmly connected and routed downward to the drain with no kinks or sags that can hold water.
• Inspect collector box: Look for cracks or leaks around the plastic collector box. Small leaks may be visible during operation.

When to call a technician: If the collector box is cracked or leaks persist, replacement and resealing should be done by a professional to maintain proper venting and drainage.
