Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing the blower compartment.
- Check blower operation: Call for heat and observe whether the blower starts after ignition. If it does not start or starts late, overheating and limit trips may occur.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the blower door and verify the blower motor plug or harness is fully seated on the motor and control board.
- Spin blower wheel: With power OFF, reach into the blower housing and gently spin the blower wheel. It should rotate freely without scraping.
- Fan-only test: Set the thermostat fan switch to ON. If the blower does not run, the motor or control board fan relay may be faulty.
ECM motors require specific diagnostics and programming. If code 32 persists, have a technician test the motor and replace it with the correct Day & Night blower assembly if needed.
