How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Steps to check:
- Inspect blower wheel: Remove the blower compartment door and visually inspect the blower wheel for heavy dust buildup or foreign objects. Clean if accessible.
- Check wiring: Ensure the blower motor plug and any separate capacitor connections are tight and not burnt.
- Test capacitor (PSC): If your Heil furnace uses a PSC motor, the run capacitor may be mounted near the blower. A bulged or leaking capacitor should be replaced with the same µF rating and voltage.
- ECM motors: For ECM blowers, verify the low-voltage control harness is fully seated. ECM diagnostics and replacement are best left to professionals.
