• Breaker panel: Locate the breaker labeled for the Heil furnace. If tripped, reset once. If it trips again, do not continue resetting.
• Service switch: Verify the furnace service switch (often looks like a light switch near the unit) is in the ON position.
• Door switch: Ensure the blower compartment door is properly installed and depressing the door safety switch.
• Internal fuse: If comfortable, remove the blower door and check for an internal fuse or breaker on the control board or in the power wiring compartment.

When to call a pro: If power is present at the furnace but it remains dead, the transformer or control board may be failed and should be tested and replaced by a technician.
