• Inspect grounding: With power off, verify that the earth wire to the furnace chassis is secure and that there is no heavy rust around the burner mounting points.
• Observe flame: Through the sight glass, the flame should be stable and mostly blue. Yellow, lifting, or noisy flames indicate combustion issues that require professional adjustment and cleaning.
• Call a technician: A professional should clean the burners, check injectors, verify gas pressures, and confirm flame signal strength on the Ideal control board.
