Water leaking from the base of the Ideal furnace or from internal panels

Safety: Turn off power before working around water and electrical components. Condensate is mildly acidic; wear gloves.

Steps:

• Locate source: Remove the front panel and trace the water path. Check the condensate trap, hoses, and collector box.
• Tighten connections: Push all hoses fully onto their barbs and secure with clips if provided.
• Clear drain line: Disconnect the external condensate drain and flush with warm water until clear. A wet/dry vacuum can help pull blockages from the end.
• Replace damaged parts: If the plastic trap or collector box is cracked, it must be replaced with the correct Ideal part by a technician.
