Possible Causes
Open-circuit or shorted flow NTC sensor, Damaged NTC wiring harness, Faulty main control PCB input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before accessing the electronic board or sensors.
Steps:
- 1. Power cycle: Turn the furnace off at the main switch for 30 seconds, then back on. If 06 reappears, proceed.
- 2. Locate flow NTC: On Immergas furnaces, the flow NTC is usually clipped or screwed into the flow pipe leaving the primary heat exchanger. Refer to your model diagram.
- 3. Visual inspection: Check the sensor and its connector for corrosion, broken wires, or signs of water leakage. Reseat the connector firmly.
- 4. Resistance check (technician): A technician can measure the NTC resistance at room temperature and compare it to Immergas specifications. If out of range or open/shorted, replace the flow NTC sensor.
- 5. PCB check: If the sensor and wiring are good, the main PCB analog input may be defective and require replacement.
