Possible Causes
Defective return NTC sensor, Loose or corroded NTC connector, Damaged wiring harness to PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing covers.
Steps:
- 1. Locate return NTC: The return NTC is mounted on the return pipe entering the boiler. Consult the Immergas service diagram for exact position.
- 2. Inspect connections: Check that the sensor is firmly attached to the pipe and that the connector is fully seated. Look for moisture or corrosion.
- 3. Dry and clean: If there is condensation, dry the area and clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner.
- 4. Sensor test (technician): Measure resistance and compare to the NTC curve. Replace the return NTC if readings are incorrect.
- 5. Wiring/PCB: If the sensor is good, check continuity of the harness to the PCB. Replace harness or PCB as needed.
