Possible Causes
Manual reset safety thermostat tripped, Faulty thermostat contacts, Wiring fault in safety chain
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the boiler to cool fully before attempting a reset.
Steps:
- 1. Locate safety thermostat: On many Immergas models, a manual reset thermostat is mounted on the primary heat exchanger or flow pipe.
- 2. Reset: Press the small reset button in the center of the thermostat (if present). You should feel a click.
- 3. Investigate cause: Frequent tripping indicates overheating due to poor circulation, scale, or incorrect settings. Check pump operation, system pressure, and valves.
- 4. Replace thermostat (technician): If it will not reset or has poor contact, replace with the correct Immergas spare.
